Meta-analysis of 58 studies (n=196,472 children). Pooled global prevalence
of functional abdominal pain disorders ~13.5%, with substantial
heterogeneity (3-19%). Higher in girls and during adolescence. Functional
abdominal pain (Rome IV) far more common than organic; psychological
correlates (anxiety, depression, parental anxiety) consistently identified.
