Síntesis
RCT and longitudinal follow-up of 114 adolescents with juvenile
fibromyalgia. CBT (vs. fibromyalgia education) reduced functional
disability and depression at post-treatment; effects on pain intensity
smaller. 6-year follow-up showed persistence of JFM diagnosis into
young adulthood in ~50% - documenting that JFM is a chronic condition
with adult continuity, not a passing teenage phase. CBT is supportive
but not curative.
