Síntesis

Foundational HAES paper challenging conventional weight-loss focus. Argues empirical record shows: (1) most weight-loss interventions fail at 2-5 years; (2) weight cycling has independent metabolic harms; (3) BMI is a poor health marker; (4) health behaviours improve even without weight loss. Companion to Bacon's book "Health at Every Size". Heavily cited but contested by mainstream obesity medicine; useful foil to AAP 2023.
