A randomized controlled trial of the effectiveness of multisystemic therapy in the Netherlands: post-treatment changes and moderator effects

Dutch independent (non-developer) RCT of MST vs. TAU, n=256 adolescents with serious antisocial behaviour. MST showed modest superiority on externalizing problems and parenting, but several outcomes were null and effect sizes smaller than US trials. Moderator analyses suggested MST works best for youth with more severe initial problems. Supports Littell's critique that effects shrink in independent evaluation but do not vanish.
