Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine position paper on MOUD (medications for opioid use disorder) for adolescents/young adults. Strongly recommends buprenorphine or methadone as first-line for moderate-severe OUD, including in adolescents ≥16; notes systematic under-prescribing relative to need.
